MilanoThe Guggenheim UBS MAP’s third and final exhibition, But a Storm Is Blowing from Paradise: Contemporary Art of the Middle East and North Africa, curated by Sara Raza presented a spectrum of artistic voices and critical concerns from a rapidly evolving region. The exhibition debuted at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum from April 29 to October 5, 2016 and traveled to the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Milan from April 11 to June 17, 2018. The exhibition showcased innovative works of installation, painting, photography, sculpture, and video by 13 artists: Lida Abdul, Abbas Akhavan, Kader Attia, Ergin Cavusoglu, Ali Cherri, Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Rokni Haerizadeh, Susan Hefuna, Iman Issa, Gulsun Karamustafa, Hassan Khan, and Ahmed Mater.
