Punk Orientalism Studio was founded by Sara Raza in January 2019 as a Global Art and Visual Cultures hub in New York designed to consolidate the academic, curatorial, publishing and cultural consultancy services of international curator Sara Raza. Fueled by the desire to produce innovative local and international projects that celebrate ideas and cultures of resistance the Studio runs on an interdisciplinary spirit of collaboration, and is built off of a reciprocal effort with independent artists, architects, creatives and technologists as well as working with ministries of cultures and education and museums and non-profits from the contemporary Silk Road. Converging creative concepts outside of the rigid bureau/ office format and creating a space that allows for cross-pollination of ideas.
